Forgotten
It’s more painful than ever now,
When you come to mind,
Your eyes ice cold as you left,
Did you ever regret leaving me?
Those meaningless words were forgotten.
The tears I shed are for you,
And always for you,
Not from the pain you caused me,
But from the pain I caused you.
Those painful words were forgotten.
I’ve always regretted not listening,
And I swear that I’m sorry,
I can’t live without you,
But I hope you can live without me.
Those agonizing words were forgotten.
I deserve the pain that dwells within,
And I will not hesitate, I will accept my fate,
As long as you are happy,
I will stand my ground and pay my dept.
‘I will always love you.’
Your words were never forgotten.

Thanks a lot! I wrote it from my friends point of view tho, it's never happened to me :P I was actually quite hard to think of the words that meant more painful each time :L This poem took me quite a while actually i don't normally spend much time on my poems :L it normally just all comes out :P

I like this poem because I can empathise, it sounds familiar to me and a situation that I was in not long ago. I like how the adjectives describing the words get exaggerated after every stanza. Lovely poem :)
